Seasons Greetings from the General Manager

Season’s greetings,

Wow, where has the year gone?!

2015 has proven to be a wonderfully busy and fruitful year for The Greek Club. We’ve grown as a community and club and to facilitate our growth we’ve introduced plenty of exciting new aspects to The Greek Club:

  • A loyalty programme
  • Gourmet dinners for our members
  • Member loyalty prize nights
  • Greek cooking classes
  • New corporate and dinner packages
  • Fantastic ‘2 for 1’ deals
  • Our new Slogan ‘Welcome to our family’
  • And of course, our brand new website

After a tough 12 months, our corporate business functions are back in full swing; thanks to our aggressive marketing and competitive pricing. Our weddings are blooming and we’ve now marked ourselves as being one of Brisbane’s premium wedding venues.

The Odyssey Taverna is flourishing as always and we have added a new face to the weekend entertainment. Nick Paras is a talented bazouki player from Greece. Nick plays at the Club every Friday night with Kos Kastrissios and most Saturday nights and Sunday lunch with Terry Michellis. Once a month on a Saturday night we also have the band Fantasia playing alongside the very talented singer James Becka. Nothing says “Greek” like authentic Greek cuisine accompanied by authentic Greek music.

Coming into the festive season we decided to take our Christmas decorations to the next level. Instead of the traditional Christmas tree we summoned the spirit of Christmas through the work of the very talented Sand Sculpting artist Peter Papamanolis. Peter will embrace the Greek culture by sculpting for us a unique Grecian style nativity scene. The sculpture can be viewed in The Greek Club Foyer until the end of January.

To end, we will be closing off the year with a terrific New Year’s Eve celebration. We would love to see you come along and take part in the traditional Greek festivities.

On behalf of the staff and myself, I would like to thank you for your support during the year and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Καλά Χριστούγεννα

Και

Ευτυχισμένο το Νέο Έτος
