Brisbane’s Best Greek Experience

People love to travel. We look for destinations that offer historical interest, for exciting new experiences, and we look for great new dining venues and exotic tastes to enjoy. If you are thinking of visiting Brisbane, Australia or are lucky enough to live here, then you are really in for a treat. Experience all the perks of an exotic travel adventure in one place, at South Brisbane’s best Greek restaurant.

Located directly opposite Musgrave Park, immediately adjacent to the artsy South Bank area, The Greek Club offers a truly unique and distinctive epicurean experience even by the high standards set in Brisbane’s diverse culture.

History
Unlike most eateries, The Greek Club isn’t and never has been a for-profit venture. It was originally founded in 1975 as a gathering place for the local Greek community and a place for them to preserve and celebrate their distinctive culture.
Now, with over 40 years of history behind it, it is governed by a board of directors and run by a team of hospitality experts whose purpose is to bring a touch of the Greek Isles to the people of Brisbane and the city’s visitors.
The Greek Club also helps to support the neighbouring respite centre, child care and nursing home which are open to both the Greek and wider community.

Culture
If there’s two things we know of the Greeks, it’s that they love to eat and they love to party, and they are more than just a little talented at doing both. Greek food is world renowned for its hearty flavours and fresh ingredients, and The Greek Club is no exception. Our expert chefs, traditionally trained in Greece, prepare each dish with passion using only the best ingredients, including locally sourced vegetables delivered daily, herbs grown in our own garden and premium olive oil. All of our dishes are prepared onsite using authentic recipes, the way γιαγιά used to make them.
As far as the party goes, with a five-page drink and wine menu, featuring some of the finest wines from around the world as well as all of your Greek favourites, of course, The Greek Club has something to satisfy any pallet. But the party doesn’t stop there.
Weekends at The Greek Club (Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons) feature exhibitions of traditional Greek dancing and a live band to keep you moving and help burn off all those delicious goodies you ate during dinner. Best of all, unlike most clubs in Brisbane, there is no entry fee. You only pay for your food and drinks.
If you are lucky enough to live in Brisbane and want to take a little mini-vacation to the Greek Isles, or if you are in the area to enjoy the sun and fun of the Sunshine and Gold Coasts areas, then a night at The Greek Club has to be on your list of things not to be missed.
Nowhere else will you find a trip through Greek history, a foodie’s dream and a party animal’s delight all in one location.
